Bénigne, our woman for East Africa
Bénigne’s areas of focus in STEM are water resources management with a deep interest in the science-policy interface of environmental sustainability.
She has an MSc in Water Policy from the Pan African University and a BSc (honours) in Civil Engineering where she majored in water resource and environmental management. Bénigne is passionate about community empowerment and has previous experience working in community engagement programs; her postgraduate research focused on the impact of community participation on sustainability of water and sanitation projects with a focus on rural areas. She has strong multidisciplinary skills to complement her technical skills including communications skills, training/workshop delivering and content development.
